Re: GPL discussion, sense and nonsense
So my way of reasoning won't hold in court. Still I have a big problem with the concept. Words like open source and free but copyrighted after all. And then there is the matter of temptation. Perhaps some of you know what the Lord said about that in his prayer. Do not. Else, concept for trouble ...

Re: GPL discussion, sense and nonsense
Alright, I am in the process of changing my mind, not there yet, but I now find it more likely that Rybka started its life as Fruit thanks to the contributions of Zach and BB. Having said that I am interested to have a discussion about the sense and nonsense of GPL.

Re: Creating a new (and independent) rating list

Yes, I'm suggesting every tester use the exact ...

Re: Creating a new (and independent) rating list
I'm not sure I like the methodology of any of the current groups, but then I have a very strong preference for science. For instance, some of the rating groups let the operator choose/create the book. I have no idea how much mischief this could entail, though I see anecdotes around that Engine X ...

Re: Looking for broad gambit games (pgn)
A good starting point for gambits is this list on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_chess_gambits
