Version 6.6.3 of Chess for Android is now available on Google Play. It features two new beautiful piece sets designed by Bryan Whitby and the ability to set the RGB of the light and dark squares individually through a new color picker.

Chess for Android now also supports the Chessnut Air electronic chessboard.

I can't believe it, but Chess for Android just passed its ten year anniversary! In November 2008, it appears for the first time on the -then-called- Android Market, together with Reversi for Android. Checkers for Android was soon to follow. The Android Market was later renamed Google Play.

• DGT (bluetooth and USB, including RS232)
• Certabo (USB)
• Millennium (BLE and bluetooth classic, needs the C-link)

I just released a new chess engine package for Android with Chessbase compatible engines. This format greatly simplifies engine install. Simply install the APK and the engines are directly available for import in any GUI that supports this format, such as Chess for Android.
