Probably also depends on in which country this was tried. Even if it was proven that IPPO family is "cloned" from Rybka by reverse engineering the excecutables, that would not be enough everywhere since this is not considered illegal everywhere (but maybee moraly incorrect).

Such a list would probably be quite short (For example Rybka and Stockfish would not appear on the list). But then again that depends on what is in the definition of "original".
Stockfish _would_ make the list, since it represents a "name change" with the original author still active. Otherwise ...
