You can run Power Chess 98 in Windows XP via Virtualpc 2007 with Virtualpc service patch 1, Windows 98 or 95 vhd, and an image of the original Power Chess 98, so they say.

I have Power Chess 2.0 by Sierra. It is the same as Power Chess 98. My understanding is that the 98 and 95 versions did not always run smoothly so Sierra produced version 2.0. Nothing significantly new here, alas.
