German Forum?

Post by Eduard Nemeth » Fri Jul 09, 2010 5:17 pm

Is it possible to set up a Sub-forum (Board) here (e.g. as in the Rybka Forum or Hiarcs Forum) where you can discuss only in German?

Topic: of course "Computerchess".

Should there be one for Vietnamese, Italian, Yoruba, etc...? I don't know about this, but just one man's opinion.

Only an german BOARD please (like Rybka-Forum & Hiarcs-Forum).
Most Reader and Writer here are after from english, of course german.

For me a German forum (or an Board here) is ideal, because then I can write much better what I really think about computer chess. In English, unfortunately, I can not really say everything I think!

Understand?

Germany is one of the countries, where chess programming is focussing. Moreover "Deutsch" is the most frequent native language among all pure European countries. Thus it seems to be more international within Europe to use the German language as the lingua franca instead of English.

I do not intend to target the whole wide world by my postings, in that case I presume that I would have to take Chinese as the language of choice - but currently I unfortunately am not able to use it.

So I warmly welcome the new German sub-forum and will happily use it.

Here is google's translation of your post:
Thanks Jeremy!

I hope also that we get as well as new users that we are all interested, as the slogan here is [Open Chess), we discuss them now in German.

In other forums that is in the style usually not possible because behind most forums, unfortunately commercial interests. The German CSS Forum has ultimately a sponsor of the advertises its products, or not? Even if the CSS can be discussed freely in total, despite the fact that ultimately there the "commercial sponsor - and owner" has the last word!

Computer chess world is good, Thorsten does everything well. The problem there is that every day, sign up to 12 people, but nobody writes something! Since I feel so slow "stupid" in front (sorry Thorsten)!

By the way: Here you have more options (eg FEN, diagrams, PGN, attachments, etc..)!

Of course I will move me not only in the German area here. I'm interested, of course, all other "English Boards. In particular, I look at most of the boards "General", "Engines" and "Tournaments in". And of course I will therefore, as best I can there as well give my opinion in english for the good as best I can.

However, there are unfortunately sometimes borders, boundaries where I would very much like to say something more!, only I can do then is not english! That is the reason why I've wanted a German board. The English reader of the German text can indeed sometimes translated to English (internet Translate).

Indeed, it is much, much harder, mutatis mutandis, to translate something from German to English than vice versa. I any case it goes like this. However, if I let translate the English text, then I understand him to 90%, but I can not answer it so often, as I understood it. I can then only in German.

So, thanks again for the board in the German Open Chess "!
If English is a bit difficult for you then just write in German and then get google or BabelFish to translate it for you. 8-)

This is BF's translation:
Jeremy thanks! I expect naturally also that we so also new user gotten, who we all are interested in the fact as the slogan reads here [}, we so now also on German discusses open Chess. In other forums is not most possible in the style, because behind most forums unfortunately commercial interests stand. Also the German CSS forum has finally a sponsor for its products recruits, or not? Even if in the CSS altogether freely it can be discussed fact is despite that in the long run " also there; commercial sponsor - and Inhaber" the last word has! Chess computer world is good, Thorsten makes everything good. The problem there is only that people log each day in up to 12, but something does not write! There I come myself so slowly " blöde" forwards (sorry Thorsten)! Übrigenes: Here one has also more possibilities (e.g. FEN, diagrams, PGN, attachment, etc.)! Naturally I will not only lie here within the German range. Naturally also all different interest me " English Boards". In particular I look myself at most the boards " General" , " Engines" and " Tournaments" on. And naturally will I around it, so well I can, my opinion in English to the best one give also there, so good I can. There are however unfortunately sometimes borders, borders where I very gladly somewhat to more to say would like! , only does not succeed to me then on English! That is the reason why I a German board wished itself. The English readers can let the German text translate also times to English (Internet Translate). It is much, many more with difficulty in a general manner to translate something of German to English than turned around. I am anyhow in such a way. If I let translate however English text, then I understand him also to 90%, but often do not answer on it can I not in such a way, as I understood it. I can do that then only on German. Therefore, thank you again for the German board in " Open Chess"!
Google seems much better.
