CorChess 20240422 wins Strong Engines Tournament (Tests by Jörn Gronemann, Heide, 2024.04.25 Time: 3'+3")

The big tournament (over 1,000 games played!) was won by CorChess 20240422. It was a victory with a large advantage over three engines with the same points score: HypnoS 220424, Raid 3.6 TR and Yuli GM Pro 16.

Obsidian 12.0 wins New Amateur Engines Test, by Chess Engines Diary 21-25.04.2024

Obsidian 12.0 won the tournament of weaker engines and on a weaker computer. In second place, half a point less, was the Alexandria 6.1.0 engine. In third place was Rebel 16.3.
Clover 6.1.19 also achieved a good result.

Another large testing tournament of the most powerful chess engines is uploaded by the official version of Stockfish 16.1.
In second and third place, respectively, are the SF-PRO 13/04/2024 and Yuli GM Pro 16 engines, which are currently only available to our testers.
Places 20 to 25 for chess engines that are not Stockfish clones or variants.

Our next test, a large tournament in which over 1,000 games were played, was won by the Yuliirma 4.0 chess engine. This engine is only available to our testers.
In second place is the official version of Stockfish 16.1 and in third place is Stockfish 20240421.

Promotion to the 1 League: Velvet 7.3.0, Igel 3.55, Dragon free.
Relegation to the 3 League: Komodo 14.1, Minic 3.41, Wasp 6.50.

Peacekeeper 2.40 wins 3 League CEDR edition 03/2024, 2024.04.30

The 3rd League of the best chess engines of the Chess Engines Diary Team was won by Peacekeeper 2.40.
Second place was Lizard 10.3 and third place was Fire Zero 5192023. These three engines were promoted to the 2nd League - congratulations!
The last three engines in the table were relegated to the 4th League: Stash 35.0, StockDory Starfish-0.1 and Xiphos 0.6.1.

The large test tournament (1104 games) was won by the HypnoS 220424 chess engine. This engine achieved a great score of +15 without a defeat.
In second place is the Raid 3.6 TR engine and in third place is the SF-PB 240424 engine.

Devre 5.0 wins 4 League CEDR edition 03/2024, 01.05.2024

The first three engines in the table dominated the 4th Chess Engine League. The Devre 5.0 engine won, while the Cheng 4.47 and Midnight v9 engines were half a point behind.

SF-PRO 25042024 wins Strong Engines Tournament, by Chess Engines Diary 30.04.2024

The latest SF-PRO 25042024 engine (which is only available to our testers) won a large tournament of very powerful chess engines. Four engines are just half a point behind it: SF PB 240424, Big-SF 210324, HypnoS 030424 and Yuliirma 4.0.
How strong the current chess engines are is demonstrated by the Critter 1.6a result, which achieved only one result out of 56 games.

The Chess Engines Diary team also tests weaker (than Stockfish and derivatives) chess engines. We respect the work of their authors and, by doing tests, we encourage them to continue working.
This tournament was won by Obsidian 12.0 before the Alexandria 6.1.0 engine. In third place is Clover 6.1.19.
