All these settings are useless without "setoption name experience book value true". Min D4 will allow the engine to play a very very bad move instead of analyzing the position. Evidence already showed at ocf, on Oliprog topic. Good luck !

Greetings - if a good book, then no experience file is needed - this is my opinion

Experience files dont need manual tuning every time a weak line is found, they store the depth and score of the depth played (and even quality in the case of SugaR V2 format)... Judge yourself...

Experience files are much more powerful than people realise / want to believe...

Made a typo, wanted to say move instead of depth

How do you want people to rate whether a random experience file is doing anything or not with the default settings ?
They don't even know which openings it learned, with which engine, how many games, against what, etc.

All those who have missed the train of training engines are obliged not to believe it. If they were to admit it, instantly they would be years behind.

It just does not only depend on the size of the exp file...

How have you trained it? How many openings the exp file has learned? At which TC / avg depth?
