There are only AVX-2 and AVX-512, we just have to wait for Jim Ablett to compile engines for real people.

Unfortunately Obsidian engine releases have 2 certain defects:
1- it’s binaries are restricted to AVX2 and AVX 512 and Avx2- pext.

2- Obsidian engine doesn’t support chess 960. Which is very important at this level. Because when a chess fan is strong enough to choose such a powerful engine, then be sure he/she also wants to practice chess 960 to improve his/her planning for middle game strategies.

Best regards

Thank you very much for the explanations, Jim Ablett compiled the previous Obsidian 14.0 for everything, including a smart washing machine, why the author of the engine can't do it himself is a big mystery to me.
Also, I can speak for myself - the i7 3770 processor supports all currently known instructions, except for AVX-2, AVX-512 and BMI-2, and works perfectly, I am more than satisfied with everything. But the author of the Obsidian engine, who lives on the Planet of Pink Ponies, releases it time after time only on instructions for the most modern processors.
To be honest, this psychological phenomenon is a mystery to me, it seems to tell us: "There is no place for rabble here! Get out of here! Get out, paupers who cannot afford the latest hardware!"

I can also add that I have always been indifferent to the 960, rather even negative, and the absence of this option in the engine can safely be considered one of its advantages, not disadvantages.
