The first edition of the CEDR chess engine league this year has begun. The 1st League has ended and there is already a surprise - the Obsidian dev-14.23 SE engine won. The Stockfish dev-20250106 engine scored the same number of points, but had a worse Bucholtz auxiliary score. In 3rd place was the Dragon 3.3 by Komodo engine.

Yuliana 6.0 wins Arena Strong Engines Test, 2025.01.13-16

Tournament of the most powerful chess engines for an older laptop. The winner was the Yuliana 6.0 engine, in 2nd place the DarkSeid 5.1 engine. Places 3-4 were taken by the JudaS ++ 4.0 and Contact 10 SE engines. New results on our website soon.

Troubadour 1.1 wins Strong Engines Tournament (Tests by Jörn Gronemann, 2025.01.17)

Another big tournament (over 1000 games) of the best chess engines. Troubadour 1.1 won, Stockfish dev-20250112 in 2nd place and Marauders 4.0 in 3rd place. More tests are ongoing, we will post the results on our website.

Rebel-EAS 2.0 wins Amateur League group E-02 Season 01/2025, 2025.01.15-19

The E-02 Amateur League of chess engines has ended. The winner was the Rebel-EAS 2.0 engine, in 2nd place the Integral 6 engine and in 3rd place the Py-goratschinchess 1.1 JA engine. These three engines have advanced to the E-01 group. More results will be available soon on our website.

Artemis 6TR wins Aquarium Mini Test, 2025.01.18 - 2025.01.19

A small tournament was held using the new Aquarium 2025 GUI. The tournament results suggest that this GUI may favor more aggressive play, as there were relatively few draws. The Artemis 6TR engine emerged victorious, followed by DarkSeid 5.2 in second place and ShashChess 38 in third. New tournament results will be available soon on our website.
