Breaking News (29.03.2025):
Another CS organized..thanks and congrats to all, as players up to 40 MB!
And as LVII CS, it seems all stable again, no crash / no game lost on time!
Actually as same words are going for almost all recent organized tourneys..
You know 'stability' is so important..In other words, it's a heart of success!
Otherwise, our produced tour results may lead to wrong conclusions, such
As unfair rankings..Moreover, re-starting tours etc. for any TD is a BIG pain..
Sure I admit that especially for my side 'strength' (in improvements) plays
Important role to keep Me alive in testings..And I assume for many as well..
Yes..one of beast engines in this hard arena is Obsidian, just unstoppable!
Managed to be Number One not only now plus in other serious tours too!
And that means a lot! PlentyChess + Berserk are 2nd..both proves again
To all of us that these engines are one of greatest! Where SF-Mini is 3rd..
As new entry: impressive! Plus so good points come by many others too!

LXII Champion: Obsidian 15.09 - Congratulations to Gabriele Lombardo!

Not at all, it is my pleasure Homayoun

Crystal 8 does not suit to tour's SIZE rules

Since Crystal has larger size than 40 MB

Hello There )

For anyone missed, interested..
Today I will try to introduce SCCT Book Competitions,
About the importance, influences of strong openings,
Which play MAIN role to be Number ONE / Champion!

In other words,
Undoubtedly the powerful lines play as 'Golden Key' for
Gaining high Elo points, no any other explanation of that!

And let Me say also please a few words more about passive,
Bad, critical weak opening lines... they're disaster! Proved,
Guaranteed..yes I've no much, but enough experience to talk..
Anyhow, I'll not share all SCCT tours links..due to I may miss...
But since 2000s: I'm in Book Tests..not so short time as it looks!
However, millions of data (as reference) available, if still not so
Clear...Only who are 'new' in chess may have difficulties about
What is going on! Or who are 'idiots' may not see the reality!
Just in case...this is not my problem at all!

Just a small note more,
Elo diff. between so weak vs super strong books may vary even
100-200-300 Elo or sometimes even more...but with well-tuned,
Strong opening books, usually elo difference is less than 20 Elo!

That's all for now, exception:
Who will be this 'hero' that will perform better than DON ?)
You know: DON in most book tours, it's unstoppable too !!
Btw, just don't say, my book performs 'best' via NON-Bullet etc.
Due to under optimal cond. no much ways to see: who is best!
Especially since NNUE 2020, reason almost all games end DRAW!
Sure anyone is free to run, to test, but to see 99% draws, sorry)

One thing more, I almost forgot )
About current shared picture, I'll leave to you, your choice to
Imagine e.g Driver or Machine or Road = Openings, but anyhow if
You are going to ask my opinion, I'd say: Driver = Book Author

And if you are need more logical examples..just Me let know,
With pleasure.. )

Have a nice weekend and hope helps )

Best,
Sedat

UPDATE

1st of all,
For anyone missed, SCCT Book Champion Rankings (since 2007):
https://sites.google.com/site/computers ... mpetitions

On the other hand,
What we noticed, at least who are experienced in our Computer Chess,
Since NNUE 2020, that means just a few years, someones started to use:
Balanced / Unbalanced opening lines..but before 2020 year, there was
No such tern, at least I can't remember..E.g in past, almost all are said:
Neutral or Own books, moreover many people used to say Bad or Good
Or Aggressive or Passive openings, Drawish or NON-Drawish openings etc.
Actually nowadays mostly Book Experts never used to say 'unbalanced'
E.g this new term ('unbalanced') is used mainly by some programmers...
But no problem at all...no one in chains, everyone is free as he wish..
But very strange that since NNUE 2020, this new term is appeared )
And no any idea regarding what these guys will say for tomorrow ?)

By the way, let Me say also please,
I often used to say 'unbalanced' if vehicle's wheel problems issues !)
Or for people who via unstable characters, such as with two faces!
Or usually for those... who often struggle to keep their promises!

And as final words, if I'm going to summarize about over,
The situation is not so complicated as it looks, in short:
The openings divided into two groups: Strong and Weak!

Greetings

Dear Chess Friends,

As usual, I'm pleased to announce that,
Very soon I plan to organize a new CS..

Some Notes:
-Book Registrations will be allowed since today but
Competition is planing to be started: 3–4 April 2025
-Two type of tours will be organized: Private / Public
-As usually, all books will be played by Raubfish SC,
Reason? Raubfish is one of best NN engines for tours!
Exc. small in size, stable, Plus super strong, Moreover less
Drawish, Besides, Raubfish's book settings are great..

And I wonder much,
Who will be 'Schumacher' under these conditions ?)
Here not 'papers', but 'facts' will talk as last words!
But anyhow, even you'll not manage to be Champ,
It's not END at all..if not today, why not tomorrow?
After all, I think as most important is FUN, right ?)

Meantime,
I hope to see many book registrations in real ARENA!)
Thanks in advance )

And please stay tuned, soon more details..

Best,
Sedat
