Re: SedatChess
Meanwhile,
While I started to remember the good old days..
Here is another non-chess, but BIG comedy story))
And I expect that many friends may got laughing ))
You know..if each time we will talk about chess..
Would not be so much boring ?)
Ok...and let's give a start )
Well, after my school's hours...in some days...
I was on main squares, where I was trying to sell
New leather jackets to foreign tourists...
In those years (in 1980-1990) in Dobrich/Bulgaria
There was no much choices to find good, quality
Leather products (in Shops) actually some may
Know that in those years.. the situation was minus
Plus same, which were in Warsaw pact's countries
Btw, I admit also that these leather products were
Imported mainly from Turkey...
And once, in my 1st days... when I was
So new in my business life (at age 15)
Note also that in those times, my Russian
Language was very bad...for this reason,
I asked to a older friend, who was much
Experienced than Me..a such question:
What I have to say to Russian tourists,
That I have to be successful (in selling)
I mean when the tourists will be interested...
In short: his answer was like that: 'idi na huy'
In English that means such as: 'kiss my ass'
And exactly at these minutes, moments..
I saw a Russian woman, she interested, asked:
How much does the leather jacket cost?
And I used to say (the same words): kiss my...
After my saying, I thought that she will buy )))
But what happened, she started shouting loudly:
POLICE, POLICE, POLICE...
Sure I noticed that there is something WRONG...
But was too late...where I took the jacket...and
I started to run away from that place quickly )))
Sure later I've done my best to revenge to this guy)
But this is other fun story...)
In other words,
In my life, this is as one of most fun stories)) and it's
My pleasure to share my fun experience with you )
And hope that you like it ?)
Greetings

Re: SedatChess
When a man talks about his real life and memories with a group or community, it means he considers them as his real and reliable friends. Mr. Sedat, your story was funny. yes, it was funny indeed. But it gave me a good feeling more than fun. Something different from fun, joke, and laugh. A feeling of friendships , sincerity ,transparency, clearance, confidence and trust .
Many thanks

Not at all... )
Actually the guy's suggested words (idi na huy)
Was as very bad joke...plus he said like that
If you say these words..you'll sell very easy...
So..all this happened in very short time that
There was no time to ask what does it mean..
I thought like that 'a very good quality' etc. )))
By the way,
I was as lucky boy that the tourist was woman
What about if were as group of men ?)))
On other hand,
Yes, we are online and our serious time is going
To follow each other...and sometimes, we spend
More time on forums.. than with our family etc.
And over past years..we gain close online friends
And frankly...I'm very happy that you are of them !!
And nice to see that
You like my mentioned funny story ))
Greetings

Re: SedatChess
One thing more (for anyone missed),
Just I'd like to point also that, exception:
BrainLearn, Eman, L.Beast, RaptTora, SugaR etc.
Here are some of my tested old chess engines,
Which have learning future too, I mean all of
Them are able to learn (during game play)!
Note also that the learning future in some
Older or newer versions are not supported...
Arasan
Aristarch
Crafty
Giraffe
Hiarcs
Frenzee
Romichess
Shredder
Spike
The Baron
Yace
Source (SCCT - Ratings / Tournaments):
https://sites.google.com/site/computerschess/ratings
https://sites.google.com/site/computers ... ournaments
More Details:
I test Learning Engines since a long period,
Minus plus 25 years for sure! on other hand,
Recently we noticed that the new generation
in Computer Chess started to give lessons e.g:
About Hash size, Concurrent, LP, Valid test...
That was good actually..in this way, we could
Improve our work...but what a pity that so
Far their comments did not make much sense!
Because as I mentioned before,
Papers and Reality are 2 different things!
Greetings

Re: SedatChess
Hi,
When will be the next book tournament? I would like to participate with my private book. Is there any size limit on books? Just asking as my book is over 3GB
